UPSC Revises Tie-breaking Rule for ESE

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has revised the tie-breaking principle to determine the ranking of two or more candidates who score equal marks in Engineering Services Examination (ESE).

The Tie principle will be applicable in those cases where two or more candidates score equal marks in ESE. This revised tie principle will help the UPSC in deciding the ranking of candidates in the Engineering Services Examination.

UPSC Announces ESE 2020 Prelims Results

Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of Engineering Services Examination 2020 Prelims (ESE 2020 Prelims) exam. The ESE 2020 Prelims exam was conducted by UPSC on 05 January, 2020.

A total of 2,263 candidates have qualified the ESE 2020 Preliminary stage. Of which a majority of candidates are from CE branch (863). With 596 qualified candidates, ECE stream candidates stand at the second position followed by EE candidates (519), and ME candidates (285). Check your ESE 2020 Prelims result.
