Whatever the case may be, it is the right time to start preparing for the second and most important phase of ESE 2019 i.e. ESE 2019 Mains. The ESE 2019 Mains exam is scheduled to be conducted by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) on 30th of June, 2019, which means that you have around five and half months to gear up for ESE Mains 2019.

This year through ESE 2019, UPSC is going to recruit around 581 qualified engineers as Class-1 officers in various Government of India departments, such as Indian Railways, Central Engineering Service, Indian Ordnance Factories Service, Survey of India, Border Road Engineering Service, Indian Defence Service of Engineers, etc. On qualifying the ESE 2019 Prelims stage, the qualified candidates will have to mention their preference for services/posts in the Detailed Application Form (DAF). On the basis of their merit position, preferences filled in DAF, and number of vacancies, successful candidates will be allotted to various services/posts, subject to their medical fitness.

The ESE Mains stage includes writing two subjective or conventional question papers that are conducted in different sessions. The paper-I and paper-II are of Engineering Discipline. Both the papers are of 3 hours duration each, carrying 300 marks each. ESE Mains exam is considered to be very important stage, a candidate’s performance in this stage is going to decide his or her final ranking in ESE 2019. Keeping in mind all these factors, it becomes crystal clear that how tense the competition is. However, it is not something that is unachievable. An engineering student targeting ESE 2019 needs to follow a meticulously planned preparation strategy to achieve success in ESE 2019.

IES Master, an institute for engineers having branches in Delhi and Noida, offers quality coaching for ESE and GATE. For ESE 2019 Mains preparation, its unique preparation strategy includes a program called Conventional Question Practice Program (CQPP) that has been designed to help all the ESE 2019 aspirants have a complete control over the ESE 2019 Mains exam. The CQPP program includes:

1) Conventional Classroom Practice Program

2) Conventional Question Practice Test (CQPT)

The main objective of Conventional Classroom Practice Program is to help ESE 2019 aspirants get conceptual clarity on certain topics. During this program, students are provided with a booklet containing two set of questions, each having concepts on which questions can be asked in the ESE 2019 Mains. Students are required to practice the questions given in this booklet. The first set of questions is discussed in classroom, whereas the second set of questions is for self practice by ESE aspirants. After successful completion of all the practice questions, a test is conducted so that the students can analyse their performance.

The second part of CQPP i.e. Conventional Question Practice Test (CQPT) is available in both offline as well as online modes. Under this part of the study program, students are provided with a schedule of tests. In this program, all the ESE 2019 Mains appearing students will get to learn about new topics while recalling the topics that they have learned in the near past. During each test, questions from certain important topics will be asked. After the completion of one or two tests, questions on topics already covered are again asked. This will help candidates in revising the topics along with their preparation of all the subjects.

Special counseling sessions are also conducted on a regular basis to help ESE aspirants write their answers effectively. During these sessions, ESE 2019 aspirants will be trained to select questions, manage time during the real exam, and build upon their speed and accuracy in solving problems.

Admissions to new batches of CQPP for session 2019-20 are going on. The next batches are starting from 18 February, 2019. As limited seats are available for this session, candidates should hurry to register for CQPP.
