IIT Roorkee has announced the GATE 2017 result today, a day earlier than the scheduled date of 27 March, 2017. Candidates who took the GATE 2017 exam on 4-5 and 11-12 February, 2017 can check their GATE 2017 result online by visiting the official website of GATE 2017 .
It must be noted that the GATE 2017 result is just for information sake. It is the GATE 2017 Score Card which is the actual document that needs to be downloaded by candidates for future use.
For candidates who appeared in the GATE 2017 exam, the GATE 2017 Score Card would be the basis for admissions to post-graduation courses at the IITs, NITs, CFTIs and many private as well as state universities. In addition to this, the GATE 2017 Score Card would also be important for candidates aspiring for PSU recruitment as the GATE 2017 score card would be used as a parameter for recruitment by many of the PSUs such as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC Ltd.), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), etc.
To download GATE 2017 Score Card, candidates have to visit the official GOAPS (GATE Online Application Process System) webpage. The GATE 2017 result would be valid for three years from the date of declaration of GATE 2017 result.
