National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited, which is one of the country’s largest power companies, has announced its recruitment plan for inducting 150 Engineering Executive Trainees on the basis of GATE 2018 scores. The young graduate engineering executive trainees will be hired from Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Mining streams.
Of the total 150 posts, 35 seats are for Electrical Engineers, 55 for Mechanical Engineers, 20 Electronics Engineers, and 20 each for engineers from Instrumentation and Mining streams.
NTPC has started inviting online applications for the same. The last date for online submission of applications is 31 January, 2018. NTPC will shortlist eligible candidates on the basis of their performance in GATE 2018 exam. Therefore, while applying candidates are required to mention their GATE 2018 registration number.
The shortlisted candidates will further be subjected to undergo Online Behavioural / Aptitude Test, which will be followed by Group Discussion and Interview. The final list of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of GATE 2018 marks (85% weightage), Group Discussion marks (5% weightage) and interview marks (10% weightage).
