Candidates interested in joining this Navratna PSU have to appear for the corresponding paper of GATE 2019, i.e. Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), and Electronics Engineering (EC). Only those candidates who qualify the corresponding paper of GATE 2019 will be considered for the next round of selection procedure i.e. Group Discussion or Personal Interview. The qualifying marks in GATE 2019 will be decided by the conducting authority of GATE 2019. GATE score of 2018 or prior or GATE 2020 is not valid for this recruitment drive by Power Grid.

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released its recruitment notice for the post of Assistant Engineers (grade B gazetted officer) in various disciplines through Chhattisgarh State Engineering Service Examination 2020.

A candidate having degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering from a state or central government recognized university or institution is eligible to present his candidature for this recruitment drive. The eligible age criteria are minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 01 st January, 2020, with an age limit of maximum 40 years for candidates who are resident of Chhattisgarh and a further age relaxation of 5 years for candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC categories of Chhattisgarh. Coal India Limited to Hire 1,326 Management Trainees

Coal India Limited (CIL), a Maharatna company and the largest coal-producing company in the world, is going to hire 1,326 Management Trainees. CIL contributes to around 82% of the coal production in India.

A majority of Management Trainees i.e. 832 management trainees would be hired from Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Mining engineering streams. The details are given as below:

The recruitment process of Management Trainees will include a Computer-based Test of three hours followed by certificate verification, and Personal Interview. This hiring drive was much awaited by engineering graduates from the above-mentioned branches. CIL has announced this hiring plan after a gap of three years. So, the competition is going to be intense as lakhs of engineering graduates are going to compete in the recruitment process of CIL.

To shortlist suitable candidates, CIL would be conducting two computer-based online tests (CBT) – CBT Paper-I and CBT-Paper-II in the month of February, 2020 followed by personal interview after verifying the documents of candidates.

Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced its recruitment drive for hiring Assistant Engineers (Civil) in the Class-2, Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar department. The State Commission will be recruiting 350 Assistant Engineers through this recruitment.

The online application process starts on 15 October, 2019 and will go on till 04 November, 2019.

Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) or Technology (Civil) obtained from any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be a deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. (2) are eligible to apply for the examination. The eligible age limit for this recruitment drive is minimum of 20 years and maximum of 35 years as on 4 November, 2019.

The selection procedure will include Preliminary exam and Interview, carrying equal weightage in the final selection. The Preliminary exam will be of 300 marks, and will include two sections, General Knowledge (100 marks) and Engineering Ability (200 marks), with 100 and 200 questions, respectively. The candidates who qualify the Preliminary exam will have to appear in the Personality Test (Interview) which carries 100 marks. The preliminary exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of February 2020. The result of this exam will be announced in the month of April 2020, and the tentative month of interview is August 2020. BPSC Assistant Engineer Prelims 2019 Results Announced

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the results of Assistant Engineer (AE) Civil Prelims examination. Students who appeared in BPSC AE Prelims 2019 exam on 15 September, 2018 can check their result on the official website of BPSC i.e. bpsc.nic.in.

Along with the results, BPSC has also released the final Answer Key of General paper for AE prelims exam sets A, B, C, and D on its official website.

As per BPSC official records, a total of 17, 865 candidates took the BPSC AE Prelims exam. Out of this total number, 10,106 candidates qualified the prelims stage. All the Prelims qualified candidates will now write the BPSC AE Mains exam that is scheduled to be conducted in the last week of March, 2019. The final date will be announced later. For final selection, candidates have to successfully clear all the three stages i.e. BPSC AE Prelims, BPSC AE Mains, and Interview.

Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MPRDC) is hiring engineers from Civil stream as Manager (Technical) on the basis of GATE 2018 score. Besides valid GATE 2018 score, the applicant should hold a B.E. /B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering from AICTE approved institute with minimum 60% for UR/OBC, and 50% for SC/ST. The maximum age limit for this post is 25 years as on 01 January, 2018.
