All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has put to rest all the speculations that were making rounds on social media as well as on print media regarding the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Due to the fake news making rounds on the Internet, engineering students started believing that GATE will soon be made mandatory for engineering students as an exit exam for the academic year 2019-20, to get their B.Tech degrees.
Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MPRDC) is hiring engineers from Civil stream as Manager (Technical) on the basis of GATE 2018 score. Besides valid GATE 2018 score, the applicant should hold a B.E. /B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering from AICTE approved institute with minimum 60% for UR/OBC, and 50% for SC/ST. The maximum age limit for this post is 25 years as on 01 January, 2018.
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released its notification regarding recruitment of engineering graduates for Scientist ‘B’ post through GATE 2016, GATE 2017 and GATE 2018 scores and interview. The Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) of DRDO has announced the same through its detailed advertisement following the notification released on 11 May, 2018.
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways for fast track execution of Rail projects, has started its online recruitment drive through GATE 2017 and GATE 2018 scores. RVNL plans to recruit engineering graduates from Civil, Electrical, and Electronics and Communication streams as Site Engineers on contract basis for its Project Implementation Units (PIUs) in Southern, Northern Central, Eastern, and Western regions.
National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) is going to hire 115 Graduate Engineer Trainees on the basis of GATE 2018 scores. The Navratna company would be recruiting engineering graduates from Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, and Electronics streams.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has started inviting online applications for Graduate Trainees (E-1 level) in Engineer and Geo-Sciences posts on the basis of GATE 2018 scores. ONGC, which is one of India’s most prominent Maharatna PSU company is going to hire 1,032 young engineering graduates from Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Chemical, and Computer Science streams for filling these vacant positions across all over India.
IIT Guwahati has declared the GATE 2018 result today on 16 March, 2018, a day before the scheduled date of 17 March, 2018. All the candidates who wrote GATE 2018 on 03-04 and 10-11 February, 2018 can visit official GATE 2018 website to check their GATE 2018 results online.
Candidates must note that the GATE 2018 result is for information sake only. What matters will be the GATE 2018 Score Card. It will be on the basis of GATE 2018 score card that one can secure a seat in any of the IITs, NITs, CFTIs or many private as well as state universities to pursue their post-graduation courses.

Candidates who have applied for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2018 (GATE 2018) through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS), can check the response sheet of GATE 2018 for both the sessions i.e. forenoon and afternoon session (9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm).
IIT Guwahati, the GATE 2018 exam conducting body, has released the GATE 2018 response sheet of all the candidates who wrote GATE 2018 on February 03, 04, 10 & 11, 2018. Candidates can check the response sheets for GATE 2018 by logging into their GOAPS portal.
