Engineering students who wish to write the GATE 2018 can register themselves through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). GATE is one of most sought after exams for engineering students as it is the deciding factor for admission to post-graduation programs and doctoral programs through top National Institute of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institute of Technology (IITs). Apart from this the GATE 2018 also opens doors for recruitment to various engineering PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings).

UPSC Releases e-Summon Letter for ESE 2017 Personality Test
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the e-summon letter for the Personality Test round of Engineering Services Exam 2017 (ESE 2017 Mains). The personality tests of the candidates who have qualified the ESE 2017 Mains written stage are scheduled to start from 31 July, 2017 and go up to 01 September, 2017.
UPSC Announces Interview Schedule for ESE 2017
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Engineering Services Examination 2017 (ESE 2017) conducting body, has announced the Interview Schedule for recruitment of class-I engineers in government services/sectors of railways, roadways, defence, energy and telecommunication.
The interview schedules have been declared for CE, ME, EE and ECE streams. The candidates, who have cleared the ESE 2017 Mains exam, conducted on 14 May, 2017, can check their ESE 2017 Interview Dates here for Civil (CE), Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE), and Electronics & Telecommunication (ECE).
UPDATE: IIT Guwahati releases important dates for GATE 2018
IIT Guwahati, the organising body of GATE 2018, has announced the dates for GATE 2018 exam. As per the official notification, the GATE 2018 online exams would be conducted on 03, 04 and 10, 11 February, 2018 (Saturdays and Sundays).
Online application for GATE 2018 through official GATE 2018 website starts from 01 September, 2017 and ends on 05 October, 2017.

GATE 2018 to be conducted by IIT Guwahati
It is official now that the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2018 (GATE 2018) will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati). It was in the year 2010 that IIT Guwahati conducted the GATE exam. Besides conducting GATE exams, IIT Guwahati also has the privilege of conducting the JEE Advanced exam in 2016. The announcement regarding this was made on the official website of IIT Guwahati. An official notification is expected to be released soon.
BEL Requires Engineers on Contract Basis
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) invites application from BE/B.Tech students of Electronics (ECE), Mechanical (ME) and Computer Science (CS) streams for the post of Contract Engineers. The contract period of the recruited engineers would be of one year, and the job location would be at one of their units located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The last date for online application is 14 June, 2017.
