Vizag Steel to Recruit 188 Management Trainee (Technical) without GATE Score

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), which is also known as Vizag Steel, has announced its plan to recruit 188 Management Trainees (Technical) from Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Electronics, Ceramics, Chemical, Metallurgy, and Mining Engineering branches without taking into consideration GATE score.

Eligible engineering graduates from the above-mentioned branches can apply online by visiting the official website of Vizag Steel till 13 February, 2020.

Selection Process

The selection process includes an Online Test followed by Personal Interview. Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an Online Examination, information of which will be provided in the Admit card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Online Test will be intimated to appear for Personal Interview.

The syllabus of Online test includes General Awareness, Numerical Ability/Aptitude, General English, Data-Interpretation, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and separate paper for each discipline. Each segment (Aptitude & Technical) will have 100 questions with one marks for every right answer. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers. To qualify the online test, candidates should secure 50% in each segment (40% for SC, OBC & PwD candidates).

To write the online test, candidates have to choose any one city from Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kakinada, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, or Vijayanagaram.

Eligibility

The candidate should possess a full-time BE/B.Tech or equivalent Engineering Degree in Ceramics/Chemical/Civil/Electrical / Instrumentation & Electronics /Mechanical / Metallurgy / Mining disciplines with First Class and an aggregate minimum of 60% marks (average of all years/semesters and all subjects).

As far age limit is concerned, the maximum age of general category candidates should not exceed 27 years as on 01/01/2020. (Born not earlier than 01.01.1993). Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, by 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) and 10 years for PWD candidates. Those domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 will be allowed 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.

The selected candidates will be entitled for a monthly basic pay of Rs. 20,600 in the Pre-Revised Pay Scale of Rs. 20,600-Rs. 46,500. On successful completion of training they may be placed in the Pre-Revised Pay Scale of Rs. 24,900-Rs. 50,500.
