BHEL Postpones Recruitment Plan for Engineer Trainees via GATE 2018

State-owned power equipment maker and Maharatna PSU company Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has postponed the online application process schedule for recruitment through GATE 2018. BHEL has plans to recruit 50 Engineer Trainees on the basis of GATE 2018 scores. The recruitment drive is meant for engineering candidates from Mechanical and Electrical engineering streams. Of the 50 vacancies, 30 seats are planned for Mechanical Engineers (ME) and 20 for Electrical Engineers (EE).

According to BHEL official notification, the online registration for the same would now commence from 12 February, 2018.

BHEL contributes to infrastructure development of India in areas such as power transmission, power generation, industry, railways transportation, defence, water, and caters to the needs of industries like petroleum, steel, fertilizers, cement, petrochemicals, etc. The PSU has 19 plants, 8 service centres, 4 power sector regional centres, and many regional offices and project offices across the nation.

The recruitment drive will involve shortlisting of young engineers for interview on the basis of their GATE 2018 scores. The final list of selected candidates would be prepared on the basis of GATE 2018 score (75% weightage) and interview performance (25% weightage).
