IIT Guwahati has declared the GATE 2018 result today on 16 March, 2018, a day before the scheduled date of 17 March, 2018. All the candidates who wrote GATE 2018 on 03-04 and 10-11 February, 2018 can visit official GATE 2018 website to check their GATE 2018 results online.
Candidates must note that the GATE 2018 result is for information sake only. What matters will be the GATE 2018 Score Card. It will be on the basis of GATE 2018 score card that one can secure a seat in any of the IITs, NITs, CFTIs or many private as well as state universities to pursue their post-graduation courses.

Here are the steps to download GATE 2018 score card
GATE 2018 score card will be available for download from 20 March, 2018. Candidates who qualify GATE 2018 would have the flexibility to download their GATE 2018 score card from the 20 March, 2018 to 19 May, 2018. To get the soft copy of GATE 2018 score card after 19 May, 2018, candidates have to make a payment of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) on the GOAPS portal.
To download the GATE 2018 Score Card, candidates need to visit the official GOAPS (GATE Online Application Process System) webpage on 20 March, 2018. On the displayed webpage, fill all the mandatory fields such as enrolment ID/ e-mail address, GOAPS password, CAPTCHA, and then click on the ‘Submit’ button to view or download the GATE 2018 score card.
GATE 2018 score card would be valid for three years from the date when GATE 2018 result was declared.

- Name of candidate
- Registration number of candidates
- Candidate’s Gender
- Name of Examination Paper
- Marks secured by the candidate (out of 100)
- Qualifying marks
- All India Rank in GATE 2018 (paper in which the candidate appeared)
- GATE 2018 score
Steps to check GATE 2018 Result
To check GATE Result 2018, visit the official website of GATE 2018. When the home page opens, click on the ‘GATE Result’ tab. Fill all the required details such as registration number, roll number, and date of birth on the page that appears. Verify the details entered, and then click on the ‘Submit’ button to view your GATE 2018 result.
The GATE 2018 result page will show the following details.
- Name of the candidate
- GATE 2018 Registration Number
- Examination Paper in which the candidate appeared
- Marks out of 100
- Qualifying marks for the discipline
