Students from NIT to Get Direct Admission for PhD in IIT Delhi

As per various media reports, Engineering students from the National Institutes of Technology (NIT) will now be able to pursue their PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi without writing the GATE exam.

This new admission policy will become effective from the academic year 2020-21. The only thing required to get direct admission would be scoring a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8 and above by students pursuing their B.Tech from NIT.
