GAIL India limited (GAIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Unit (PSU), has announced its recruitment plan for Executive Trainees (Engineers) from Chemical and Instrumentation streams through GATE 2020 scores.

Candidates interested in joining this Maharatna PSU should have appeared for the corresponding paper i.e. Chemical Engineering (CH) and Instrumentation Engineering (IN) of GATE 2020 that was held on 01, 02, 08 and 09 February, 2020. Only those candidates who qualify the corresponding paper of GATE 2020 will be considered for the next round of selection procedure. The qualifying marks in GATE 2020 will be decided by GATE 2020 conducting authority i.e. IIT Delhi. The GATE 2020 qualified candidates would be shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview for final selection. GATE score of 2019 or prior is not valid for this recruitment drive by GAIL.
The upper age limit for the posts of Executive Trainees in all the disciplines is 28 years as on 03 March, 2020. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05, 03, 10, 13 and 15 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC (NCL), PWD-General, PWD-OBC (NCL), and PWD-SC/ST categories, respectively.
The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the Basic Pay of Rs. 60,000/- during one-year training-cum-probation period as Executive Trainee in E-2 grade. On successful completion of their training-cum-probation period, they will be absorbed in the same Pay Scale of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000/- in E-2 grade.
Other benefits include company accommodation / leased accommodation / HRA, medical facility, group insurance, house building advance, conveyance advance, furnishing advance/ PC advance, etc.
During the training-cum-probation period and/ or after absorption, the candidates may be posted at any of the installations/ projects/ offices, etc. of GAIL (India) Limited or any of the subsidiaries/ Joint Ventures of GAIL (India) Limited or deputed to any Department of Government of India/ other PSUs, etc. The selected candidates may be assigned jobs/ functions/ assignments as per the business requirements of the company including shift operations.
