GATE 2020 to be conducted by IIT Delhi

It is official now that the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2020 (GATE 2020) will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). This announcement has been made on the official webpage of IIT Delhi for GATE 2020. The exact dates for GATE 2020 exam would be announced later.

The GATE 2020 exam can be taken by students of 25 engineering streams, who want to do higher studies in engineering, technology, architecture and in other branches of science from any of the seven IITs or from Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Engineering students, who wish to begin their engineering career through Public Sector Undertaking companies (PSUs) too can write the GATE 2020 as almost all the PSUs consider GATE score while recruiting executive engineers.

The syllabus of GATE is too vast, therefore, it demands serious effort and a dedicated time schedule to crack the exam with good GATE score. A GATE aspiring candidate has to give his best, along with a lot of patience and energy to cope up with pressure of exam.

Candidates interested to write GATE 2020 can register themselves for GATE 2020 through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). The dates regarding the beginning of online application would be announced later by IIT Delhi.

GATE is a computer-based test that is to be written by candidates online in three hours. The GATE question paper comprises of 65 questions which are a mix of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type questions (NAQs). A virtual calendar is being used by students writing GATE to perform mathematical calculations. In addition to subject paper, GATE also includes General Aptitude paper to test a candidate’s aptitude and understanding of general mathematical concepts as well as reasoning and logical aptitude.
