Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced its recruitment drive for hiring Assistant Engineers (Civil) in the Class-2, Narmada, Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar department. The State Commission will be recruiting 350 Assistant Engineers through this recruitment.
The online application process starts on 15 October, 2019 and will go on till 04 November, 2019.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) or Technology (Civil) obtained from any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be a deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. (2) are eligible to apply for the examination. The eligible age limit for this recruitment drive is minimum of 20 years and maximum of 35 years as on 4 November, 2019.
The selection procedure will include Preliminary exam and Interview, carrying equal weightage in the final selection. The Preliminary exam will be of 300 marks, and will include two sections, General Knowledge (100 marks) and Engineering Ability (200 marks), with 100 and 200 questions, respectively. The candidates who qualify the Preliminary exam will have to appear in the Personality Test (Interview) which carries 100 marks. The preliminary exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of February 2020. The result of this exam will be announced in the month of April 2020, and the tentative month of interview is August 2020.
