LIC to Recruit Assistant Engineers – Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has started inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Engineers (AE) from Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and other engineering branches.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in this recruitment drive should hold a B.Tech/B.E. degree in respective stream with a minimum of three years field experience.

The minimum age limit is 21 years as on 01.02.2020, and the maximum age should not be more than 30 years. There are relaxations in upper age for SC/ ST/ OBC/PwBD/ confirmed LIC employees, ranging from 3 years to 15 years.

Selection Process
The LIC Assistant Engineer Posts recruitment 2020 is based on written exam and personal interview. The written exam will be conducted online in two stages – Prelims Exam and Mains Exam.
The Prelims exam will have three sections – Reasoning Ability, English language, and Quantitative Aptitude.
The Main Examination will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive test for 25 marks.

Salary Package and Other Benefits
All the selected candidates will be entitled for a basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the scale of Rs. 32795- Rs. 62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of HRA, City Compensatory Allowance, etc. wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs. 57,000/- per month in ‘A’ Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance, Vehicle Loan as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement of cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc.as per rules.
