GATE exam is the doorway to many public sector undertakings (PSUs) as well as getting a Fellowship Program from CSIR, or Scholarship in ME/M.Tech, or Ph.D from top IITs or NITs.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL or POWERGRID), a Navratna conglomeration and the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India, is going to recruit 150 Assistant Engineer Trainees (E1 Trainee level) from Electrical, Electronics, Civil and Computer Science disciplines. The recruitment for these posts will be on basis of GATE 2017 score. Of the 150 posts, 100 vacancies are for Electrical stream, 20 for Electronics, 20 for Civil, and 10 posts for Computer Science engineering graduates having GATE 2017 score.
National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited, which is one of the country’s largest power companies, has announced its recruitment plan for inducting 150 Engineering Executive Trainees on the basis of GATE 2018 scores. The young graduate engineering executive trainees will be hired from Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Mining streams.
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has started its online application process for the training in two courses Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) and DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates (DGFS).
OCES is a one year programme conducted at the five BARC Training Schools located at Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore and Hyderabad. Whereas DGFS is two year programme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates who have cleared the selection interviews for the BARC Training Schools’ programs, and have also independently secured admission for M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. in select Institutes and specialisations as specified, are paid stipend and tuition fee to pursue a M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. degree while retaining their employment in DAE.
State-owned power equipment maker and Maharatna PSU company Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has postponed the online application process schedule for recruitment through GATE 2018. BHEL has plans to recruit 50 Engineer Trainees on the basis of GATE 2018 scores. The recruitment drive is meant for engineering candidates from Mechanical and Electrical engineering streams. Of the 50 vacancies, 30 seats are planned for Mechanical Engineers (ME) and 20 for Electrical Engineers (EE).
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), which is India’s leading oil and gas supplying company, has started the online application process to hire Graduate Engineers through GATE 2018. The young graduate engineering executive trainees will be hired from Civil (CE), Electrical (EE), Mechanical (ME), Chemical (CH), Electronics & Communication (EC), Computer Science (CS), Metallurgy (MT), and Instrumentation (IN) disciplines. The online application process has begun and will continue till 11 February, 2018.
THDC India Limited , which is a joint venture between the Government of India and the State Government of Uttar Pradesh, has announced its hiring plan for 40 Graduate Engineer Trainees through GATE 2018 scores. The recruitment drive is for engineering candidates from Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering streams.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) is going to open the application window to recruit officers/engineers through GATE 2018 scores today. The applicants should be engineering students from Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering streams, and qualify GATE 2018 exam that is scheduled to be conducted on 03, 04 and 10, 11 February, 2018. While applying online, candidates are required to mention their GATE 2018 registration number on the application form.
