BARC Begins Recruitment through GATE 2018 for OCES/DGFS

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has started its online application process for the training in two courses Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES) and DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates (DGFS).

OCES is a one year programme conducted at the five BARC Training Schools located at Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore and Hyderabad. Whereas DGFS is two year programme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates who have cleared the selection interviews for the BARC Training Schools’ programs, and have also independently secured admission for M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. in select Institutes and specialisations as specified, are paid stipend and tuition fee to pursue a M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg.  degree while retaining their employment in DAE.

On the successful completion of these two courses, candidates will be eligible for recruitment as Scientific Officer ‘C’ in any of the DAE units or Atomic Energy Regulatory Board.

Interested candidates can register themselves for the courses till 4 February, 2018, while the last date for online submission of application is 5 February, 2018. The eligibility for these two courses is valid GATE 2017 and GATE 2018. The GATE scores can be uploaded by candidates by 3 April, 2018. If non-GATE candidates wish to apply for the programmes then they have to write and qualify an online test that will be conducted in March 2018.
