MTRE is for students who have obtained their graduate or Master degree (B. Tech/M.Tech) or the students are in the third/final year of their engineering degree course in Civil and Mechanical streams.

How To Register

Visit MTRE website: iesmaster.org/master-talent-reward-exam.

Click on ‘Register’ button. Registration page opens, fill all the details on the MTRE online registration form.

After submitting you will get the User ID and Password and will be directed to payment gateway page.

Make the payment of Rs 50/- as the registration fee.

After the payment process, response page will open where you can check your payment details.

If the payment failed anyway, you can pay the same by logging into your student zone with the login credentials sent to your registered mobile number.


The MTRE exam will start on 10 January, 2021 at 6:00 PM sharp. Students will not be allowed to take the MTRE Exam after 6:15 PM.

Make sure that you have a computer system (desktop/laptop) with working webcam.

Before taking the MTRE, make sure that your Internet connectivity is not interrupted during the exam.

While writing MTRE, students are required to keep their system’s webcam turned on, and keep it running during the entire duration of exam to ensure that only bonafide person is writing the exam.

The candidate has the flexibility to jump over to any question while writing MTRE.

Each question of the MTRE exam is allotted specific time duration to attempt. The allotted time for each question can be viewed on the top right corner of the screen while writing MTRE.

If a candidate fails to answer any particular question within the stipulated time, he will be automatically redirected to the next question having balance time.

If a candidate fails to submit his answer to any particular question by clicking on the ‘Save and Next’ button within the allotted time, his response will not be saved.

Once a candidate has attempted all the questions of MTRE, he has to click on the ‘Submit’ button to finish the test.

If a candidate fails to complete the MTRE exam in allotted time, then his test will get submitted automatically.

During the MTRE Test, all the candidates will be provided with a virtual scientific calculator on computer screen which has to be used to do calculation while answering questions. No physical calculator will be allowed. The same applies to mobile phones and wrist watches with calculation facilities.

Note : All the above-mentioned instructions are to be adhered in good faith, failing which your candidature will stand null and void.

Terms & Conditions

The MTRE qualified candidates must register with IES Master in CE or ME branch to avail the scholarship.

The selected students have to enrol themselves with IES Master within a month from the date of declaration of MTRE result. Failing to do so, the seat will be allocated to the next student as per the merit list.

The selected MTRE candidates will have to deposit the entire balance fee to avail the benefit.

Under MTRE, admissions once taken can neither be withdrawn, nor transferred.

IES Master reserves the right to change, modify, or terminate MTRE anytime, at its discretion.

In all the aspects related to MTRE, the IES Master Management’s decision will be final and binding.

Candidate selected through MTRE will not be eligible for any other discount.

Both Non-IES Master and Ex-IES Master students can write MTRE.

The benefits of MTRE will be applicable on batches starting during January, 2021 to March, 2021.

Discount is applicable on the tuition fees only.


Yes, candidates need to pay online a nominal fee of Rs. 50/- to register themselves for MTRE.

No, there would not be any cash prize for winners. The winners would only get a discount of up to 100% of the tuition fee on the basis of the result of the scholarship test from a nationwide pool of applicants.

No, there would not be multiple time slots to write MTRE.

No, MTRE is an online test. All you require is a laptop with a Web Camera and Internet connection.

Current year students and ex-students of IES Master Classroom Program would only be eligible for one discount whichever is maximum. The discounts will be applicable on batches starting during January 2021 to March 2021 only.

Yes, students who have already qualified MTRE last year but somehow could not enrol for classroom program are eligible to write MTRE to claim a different discount slab.

There is a time limit of 1 hour to answer the complete MTRE question paper. Also, there would be a time limitation to answer each question.

No, there is no minimum qualifying score for availing MTRE discount.

The result of MTRE would be announced within 5 working days from the date of exam. In case there is any change in the date of result announcement, candidates would be notified through SMS/e-mail/IES Master website/app.

No, you can not write MTRE on your smartphone.

MTRE is an online mode test that can be written from anywhere using a system (Desktop or Laptop) with Web camera and Internet connectivity. The questions will be of objective type. Each Question will have 4 alternative options.The total time duration for writing MTRE will be 1 hour. In total there will be 50 questions of 2 marks each. There would be negative marking of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.

There is no minimum cut-off. Merit list would be released post MTRE. Basing on the marks score, the discount/scholarship will be offered.

You have to make sure that Internet is working at the start and while submitting the test paper. Also, the Web camera is mandatory while writing MTRE. Failing which you would not be able to avail MTRE benefits.

MTRE is for students who have obtained their graduate degree (B.Tech) in Civil or Mechanical streams. The scholarship program is also open to those students who are in the third/final year of their engineering degree course in any of the above mentioned branches.

Registration for MTRE can only be completed online and documents required will be scanned images of passport size photograph, signature and ID proof.

Yes, you would be requiring a User Name and Password to write MTRE. The User Name and Password will be generated at the time of registering for MTRE, and the same would be sent to you through SMS/E-mail.

In case you have forgotten your password, you can click on ‘Forgot Password’, and then follow the process to reset your password. You would also receive the new password set by you on your registered e-mail ID.

You can change your photograph and signature only. Other than these two things, you cannot change any other information.

The only thing you have to make sure is that you do not quit the MTRE test panel by pressing Back button, Refresh button, or opening a new tab. If your test freezes or ends due to any other reason will not be considered as submission of the test.

Yes you can use a calculator while writing MTRE.
